Obituary for John G Clapp

John G  Clapp
John G. Clapp, 32, passed away at his residence, blocks from the ocean on the Jersey shore. John was born and raised in Spring Lake Heights and later lived in Lake Como. He was a graduate of Manasquan High School where he was a standout soccer player. John earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Spanish from Penn State University, where he was a Schreyer Honors College student and member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He loved traveling to Honduras where he cherished his time volunteering at a children’s orphanage.

John is survived by his parents John W. Clapp of Lake Como, his mother Gerri Clapp of Lewes, DE; a brother Joseph Schaad and his wife Stacey of Belmar, NJ; three sisters, Maggie Ryan and her husband Jim of Neshanic Station, NJ, Nancy Patton and her husband Tom of Branford, CT and Jeni Clapp and her husband Gabe Darwick of Brooklyn, NY as well as several nieces and a nephew.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday March 29, 2018 from 4-7 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan. A memorial service will begin at 4:30 pm at the funeral home.
