Obituary for Virginia Lynn Jasko

Virginia “Ginny” Lynn (Krech) Jasko, 81, of Manasquan, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, after a brief illness. Born February 9, 1941, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Virginia De Baun (Pardee) and Edward Max Krech, she graduated from Glen Rock High School in Glen Rock, New Jersey, and Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Ginny was the wife of the late Albert “Al” Frank Jasko. They married on March 10, 1973, in Ridgewood, New Jersey. They are survived by their two children: son Todd Jasko of Boulder, Colorado (and his wife Heather Kelley), and son Christopher Jasko of Prague, Czech Republic. Ginny worked as a Jacki Sorensen aerobic dancing instructor well into her sixties and was an avid Pilates practitioner at 81. She conducted the choir for Four Seasons’ annual Christmas pageant for many years, and enjoyed historical novels, traveling, iced coffee with ice cream, losing money at mahjong, and talking about her grandchildren. In addition to her children, Ginny is survived by three grandchildren, Kryštof, Amálie, and Vilém, of Prague, Czech Republic; her brother Alan and sister-in-law Lou Krech of Columbia, South Carolina; and her sister-in-law Joan (Gras) Krech of Salem, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Al and brother Edward M. Krech Jr.
A celebration of Ginny’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 16 Virginia Avenue, Manasquan, New Jersey in late June or early July 2023; details are forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Child Fund International, P.O. Box 1911, Merrifield, Virginia 22116-1911. The family would like to thank the staff of HMH Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s Neuro-Intensive Care Unit for their expertise and compassion in Ginny’s final days. They are also indebted to Ginny’s many friends and neighbors whose love and care enriched her life.
