Obituary for Kathryn Nolan

Kathyrn (Kitty) Nolan, 89 years old, was born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Rahway, NJ. Kitty lived in Brick, Titusville, Medford Lakes and in Brielle for almost 40 years before moving to Sunnyside Manor in March. Kitty died peacefully on December 28, 2022, at Sunnyside Manor in Wall Township. Kitty attended Rahway high school. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob”. Kitty graduated from Washington School of Secretaries with Honors. She then worked at Merck & Co. and NJ Bell. At Rahway High School she was a cheerleader and a member of National Honor Society. Kitty was president of the Blue Triangle Society and played basketball and volleyball. She was a very active member and president (1984) of the Brielle Women’s Club and a member of St. Martha’s Church. “Mumsy", as she was known by her grandchildren, loved playing cards with friends, family and her neighbor and dear friend, Loretta. She enjoyed flea markets, horse racing, walking the boards, traveling and a southern comfort Manhattan (muddle the fruit!!!).

Kitty was the daughter of Michael and Josephine (Hiross) Marancik (both deceased), wife of Robert J. Nolan (deceased) for 60 years, and the sister of Valerie Dietz (deceased). Kitty had 5 children: Holly Furman (deceased) (John) Dr. Patrick Nolan, Kevin Nolan, Robin Kearney (Tom) and Sean Nolan (Liz). Her beloved grandchildren are: Matthew Furman, Kristen Parsinitz (Wally) Kaitlin Gray (Ryan) Nolan Kearney (Kelly) Sean Nolan (Emilie) Demona Nolan (Jordon), Brendan Nolan (Rachel). Her loving great-grandchildren are: Wally Parsinitz III, Kaylina Parsinitz, Palmer Gray, McKenzie Gray (deceased), Nolan Kearney II and Kennedy Kearney.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ, from 1-4 pm, with a service to begin at 3:30 pm.
