John B. Palmer, 77, of Brick, passed away peacefully on Friday December 23, 2022, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with his loving wife by his side. John was born in Pittsfield, MA, and raised in Lee, MA. He was a graduate of Lee High School. After high school John enlisted in the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam War from 1963-1967. When John returned from serving in the military he worked for AT&T for two years before starting his 24-year career as a Wall Township Police Officer retiring in 1993. John was an avid fisherman, and an active member of the Manasquan VFW Post 1838. He was a devoted husband, loving Dad, and cherished grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife Diane (nee Archinal) Palmer, of Brick; his beloved daughter and son-in-law Jaime Jurdak Roy and her husband Dan of South Berwick, ME. He is also survived by a brother Dick Palmer and his wife Mary of Lee, MA., and a sister-in-law Marge Palmer of Lee, MA. John was the loving grandfather of Jaxson and Brady, as well as a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brother Leroy and sister June.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday December 29, 2022, from 3-7 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736, with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 pm.
