Obituary for Jean Ahrens (Olsen)
Jean Ahrens, 94, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023. Born May 12, 1928 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to Olaf and Tillevina Olsen, she was a devoted twin of June Olsen and sister of the late Dorothy Olsen. Raised in a community of Norwegian immigrants, Jean passed down to her family a sense of pride in their heritage.
On April 10, 1954 she married Arthur W. Ahrens, and together they raised four children: Randi, Susan, Steven, and Allison. She was a proud Mommom to nine grandchildren as well as 10 great grandchildren (plus one on the way).
Jean is remembered especially by her family for her infectious laugh, love of travel and unconditional support.
She lives on in all of us.
