Obituary for Frances B. Lynn

Frances B. Lynn (Tarn), 72, of Point Pleasant, NJ passed away on October 7, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born an identical twin on December 7, 1948, at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, NJ. The daughter of the late Everett Philip Tarn II and Ida B. Tarn (Francis) grew up in Menlo Park, NJ. She proudly raised her children in Edison, NJ before moving & then retiring to Monmouth Junction, and finally residing at Crest Pointe Long-Term Care in October of 2020 to be closer to her children.

Along with her parents, Frances was predeceased by her son, Jeffery, her best friend and twin sister, Nancy and her loving brothers & Veterans Everett and Richard Tarn. She is survived by her son, Edmund Lynn III and his wife Denise (Ottombrino) of Bayville, and her daughter, Francine Banick and her husband Ken of Brick, and her sisters Shirley Sedlak & Kathleen Fanelli and her husband, Ray. She was the cherished grandmother of her grandsons, Adam, Eddie, Mark, Andrew, Noah & Nicholas, they lit up her life and was incredibly proud of them. She had many cousins, nieces and nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews whom she treasured, and who treasured her right back.

While Mom, Momma, Mom Lynn, Gramzy, Sis, and Aunt Franny were her favorite roles in life, Frances worked as a cashier for Stop & Shop in Edison and Franklin Park for many years. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Augustine of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church in Kendall Park, where she also served in the choir and proudly showed-off her family at their annual picnics. She spent much of her time at the South Brunswick Senior Center playing bingo, doing crafts, and dominating the guys at the pool table.

The last year of her life was spent at Crest Pointe. At an especially difficult time during the pandemic, she embraced this change with grace. She thoroughly enjoyed watching & waving to the boats going by on the canal. During a recent visit, she said, “If you really think about it, I’m living the best life I ever have now”.
