Obituary for Elizabeth A. DiSanto (Heffernan)
Elizabeth A. (nee Heffernan) DiSanto, 73 of Jackson, formerly of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ. Elizabeth was born and raised in Bayonne and was a graduate of St Dominic Academy, Jersey City. After high school Elizabeth worked as a keypuncher for Marine Midland for a few years and then Ciba-Geigi in Bayonne. She then married Bruce DiSanto and they had lived in Bayonne for 38 years before moving to Jackson in 2011. Elizabeth was a communicant of St Henry Church, an avid reader, loved knitting and was an outstanding cook.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Francis and Elizabeth Heffernan. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years Bruce DiSanto of Jackson. She is survived by her beloved brother and sister-in-law Francis and Peggy Heffernan of Howell, NJ. Elizabeth was the cherished aunt to Bill and Kelly Heffernan, Jimmy and Vajaira Heffernan, and Eileen and Shawn Swingle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:45 am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St Henry Catholic Church 82 W. 29th Street, Bayonne, NJ 07002. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-9959.
