Elizabeth Jane (nee Meeks) Conover, 90 of Wall Township, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Dillsburg, PA. Elizabeth was known as Bette and was born to William and Elsie Meeks on August 16, 1932, on Hawthorne Avenue, Neptune, NJ. It was there she grew up with her four siblings. She was a graduate of Neptune High School. Bette attended Full Gospel Church in Neptune, where she met her husband John R. Conover. She worked as a secretary for the federal government in several Forts including Fort Monmouth.
Bette was predeceased by her parents, and her four siblings. She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, John R. Conover, Sr., her loving children Phyllis Conover, Gail Brubaker, and John Conover, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10 am to 12 noon with a prayer service to begin at 11:30 am at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ.
