Diane Hudson, of Spring Lake, passed into eternal life on April 23, 2023, with her family by her side. Diane was born on August 4, 1934, in New Brunswick. She worked for Personal Products, Johnson & Johnson, where she met her future husband, Vincent J. Hudson. After their marriage in 1957, they moved to Highland Park where she raised her four children: Suzanne, Vincent Jr., Edward and Mary. Diane and Vinnie moved to Spring Lake in 1986. She was active in the Woman’s Club and Spring Lake Recreation. She enjoyed gardening, but her passion was genealogy and family ancestry which she even pursued during several trips to Ireland. Her involvement in the Monmouth County Genealogy Society and Monmouth Roots connected families across many generations. Diane was overly generous and extremely charitable, always caring more for others than herself, especially when it came to her family.
Diane was predeceased by her parents Fred Walen and Agnes Pepiak, brother Fred Walen, Jr., her loving husband Vincent and daughter Suzanne Mele. She is survived by her children Vincent Jr. (Annette), Edward (Patricia) and Mary Fata (Lawrence). Also surviving are her nine grandchildren, Michael Mele, Christina Liacouras (Michael), Vincent Hudson, Brianna Kiskeravage (Theodore), Anthony Fata (Briana), Matthew Mele, Erin Garcia (Gary), James Fata, Chelsea Hudson, three great grandchildren, Natalia, Mia and James, her son-in-law Dante Mele, sister-in-law Elaine Hudson, many nieces and nephews, and her grand fur baby Cooper.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday May 1, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Entombment to follow at St Catharine’s Mausoleum, Sea Girt. NJ.
