David Joseph Totaro, 65, of Toms River, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. David was born and raised in Weehawken, NJ. David was a graduate of St Peter’s Prep and St Peter’s College. After college David began his 45-year career in finance. Prior to his retirement in 2019 David worked for Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. After his retirement David worked for Goodwill for several years. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching his sons how to play chess, writing poetry, and hitting baseballs.

David was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Virginia Totaro, and his brother Timothy Totaro. He is survived by his devoted wife Joan Totaro of Toms River, NJ, his two loving sons Joseph Totaro of Bellmawr, NJ, and Isaiah Totaro of Toms River, NJ. David was the loving brother of Stephen Totaro and his wife Kathy of MI, Jeff Totaro and his wife Mary of TX, Patricia Clisura and her husband George of East Rutherford, N J, Melissa Totaro and her spouse Doris Fuentes of NJ. He was the cherished uncle to Eric, April, Andrea, Christine, and Leslie.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday April 16, 2023, from 1-4 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday April 17, 2023, at St Catharine Church, Spring Lake, NJ. Interment will follow at St Anne Cemetery, Wall Twp, NJ.
