Obituary for Carol Lombardi

Carol Ann Lombardi, 73, passed away on May 9, 2023, in her Toms River home surrounded by her loving children. She was born on October 11, 1938, in Jersey City to Anne Kopcynski and Joseph Murphy. Raised in the town of Elizabeth, NJ with her loving sister Lorraine Aucone and predeceased by her two brothers, Robert Murphy and Don Kozlowski. Married on 5/18/1957 to Anthony Lombardi. They raised a beautiful family together in Linden, NJ. Carol leaves behind her 6 children: Nicky Lombardi, Michael Lombardi, Nadine Miller, married to Ted Miller, Anthony Lombard, married to Mary Beth Lombardi, Nancy Rumbauskas and Donald Lombardi. She happily celebrated her 14 beautiful grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Carol started her career late in life in the aluminum industry for almost 40 years. She was one of the hardest working woman I know who touched so many lives with her caring and loving soul.
Retired in 2018 where she then enjoyed spending all her time with family. Nothing meant more to her. She enjoyed cooking and celebrating Sunday dinners for as long as can be remembered. All were welcome, the more the merrier. Carol enjoyed the simple things in life tending to her plants, inside and outside, crocheting a special memoir to remember her by. I believe everyone has a blanket, might be small but none the less, certainly a memory, she always looked forward to her early morning or late-night conversations over politics and what was going on in the world, she also was a true Yankee fan even named a few fish after a few star players. Carol was loved by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to celebrate Carol’s life on Friday, May 19 @ 11 a.m at
St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road Point Pleasant, NJ 08742. Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ. To send condolences to the family please visit www.orenderfamilyhome.net.
