Obituary for Beverly Wenrich (Quinn)

Beverly Q. Wenrich, 88, born Sept. 28, 1934, at Montclair Community Hospital, passed away peacefully on Halloween 2022 at her home in Mantoloking, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was raised in West Orange, NJ by her parents Walter A. Quinn and Bessie M. Voigt. Beverly attended and graduated from Cedar Crest College with a degree in education. She taught in the Newark and East Orange, NJ school systems for many years.

Beverly raised her family of four sons, Bart, Glen, Brian and Kevin in Essex Fells, NJ before semi-retiring and moving to her beach house. She went on to become the "tattoo lady" with stands on the Pt. Pleasant and Seaside Heights boardwalk before retiring completely. Beverly adored and loved all her grandchildren Grady, Rosie, Eva, Colin, Gillian, Carter, Kyle, Alyssa, Jules and Jessie. Beverly is also survived by daughters-in-law, Dr. Bonnie Simmons and Christine Wenrich. Beverly loved all animals but especially her beloved therapy dogs, Rufus and Fergus. For years she and her dogs would visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools for autistic children and the juvenile detention center to brighten the day, bring hope and put a smile people's faces.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois, 60601. Arrangements were under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan.
