Obituary for Arthur N. "Art" Schucht

Arthur N. Schucht 88, of Wall Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2023. Art was born June 25, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY. He attended Brooklyn Technical high school and Brooklyn Community College. Upon graduation he began his career as a draftsman with then Bell Labs (AT&T) where he met the love of his life, Jane. After marrying they moved to Wall Township where they raised their sons. Art worked for over 35 years at AT&T before retiring. He made many great lifelong friends there and enjoyed bowling and playing softball in the local Bell Labs leagues. Art also loved going to AC and was always figuring new ways to try and beat the house with longtime friend Art Chambers. Art loved organizing the yearly baseball bus trips, camping trips and BBQs. Along with his favorite 4th of July BBQ with Red Endres and his family.

Art is predeceased by his beloved wife of 45yrs Jane, his brothers Fred and John, his sister Virginia Duffy and his best friend Ed Mountford. He is survived by his four sons: Raymond and his wife Gretchen of Brick, NJ; Kenneth and his wife Mary of Kingsport, TN; Steven and his fiancé Dori of Wall, NJ and Kevin and his wife Patricia of Brick, NJ along with his grandchildren Sarah and her husband Nicholas Panariello, Matthew, Elizabeth, Gabrielle, AJ, Jessica and her husband Dakota McCoy, Heather, Josiah, Denise, Natalle, Samantha and Kyle as well as his four great grandchildren Harper Panariello, Gemma and Nessa McCoy and Giovanni Schucht.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 27th from 4pm to 8pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret Church, 300 Ludlow Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ, 07762 on Saturday, January 28th at 10:30am to be followed by the burial at St Anne Cemetery, 1610 Allenwood Road, Wall, NJ 07719.
