Obituary for Arlene F. Venezia (Cook)

Arlene F. Venezia, 79 of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Willow Springs Rehabilitation Center, Brick with her loving family by her side. Arlene was born and raised in Jersey City. She was a graduate of Dickinson High School, Jersey City. After high school Arlene began raising her family and had lived in Jersey City until 1967. She then moved to Old Bridge with her family where she lived for 3 years before moving to Point Pleasant Beach where she lived until her death. Arlene worked for Earle Naval Base as a travel and tourism director for over 30 years. She loved going to the beach, traveling, trips to Disney and shopping with her sister Adele. Arlene thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her sister Adele and with her grandchildren. She loved life and lived it her way.

Arlene was predeceased by her parents Albert and Rosemary Cook, her sister and brother-in-law Adele and Stanley Mazza, and her brother Albert Cook. She is survived by her children. Elizabeth Davies and her husband Martin of Point Pleasant, Jennifer Hubert of Brick, Brian Carlton of San Diego, CA, and Bobby Carlton of Los Angeles, CA; and their father James Venezia. Arlene was the cherished Nanny to Thomas Hubert, Dylan Davies and Casey Davies, and fond aunt to Frank Mazza and his wife Dena, Michael Mazza and his wife Amanda, Desiree Mahoney and her husband Pat, and Dana Oyuela. She also leaves behind a host of great friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 6, 2022, form 5-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am at St Peter’s Church, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ on Friday, October 7, 2022.
